Sarah Ferguson has been welcomed back into the royal fold.
The royals and Ferguson had a rocky relationship following her divorce from Prince Andrew. However, Carly Read, a journalist for Express, claims that the days of Ferguson being an outsiders appears to be over, and there are rumors that she’s back in the Firm after Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s royal wedding.
Princess Eugenie’s big day appeared to have healed the rift between Ferguson and the members of the royal family. This is visible in the official wedding portrait from the second royal wedding this year where Ferguson was pictured alongside the Duke of Edinburgh for the first time in 20 years.
Ferguson infuriated the royal family following her toegate scandal. She was famously photographed with her financial advisor John Bryan with the latter sucking her toes. A number blamed the duchess for her poor judgement.
“Okay you don’t expect somebody to crawl through the bushes to take photographs of you topless while your financial advisor is sucking your toes,” Dickie Arbiter told ITV’s “The Royal Wives of Windsor.” “You don’t expect that but by the same token you don’t go away with somebody that isn’t your husband and sunbathe topless.”
Following their divorce, Prince Andrew and Ferguson remained friends. In fact, they were seen together in the last Royal Ascot. In addition, she still called her ex-husband a “family.”
Ferguson opened up about her boyfriends in an emotional interview where she admitted in an emotional interview that her ex was still her “soul mate.” “He’s a great man and a first-rate father and the bestest friend,” Ferguson said about Prince Andrew.
“I love him. He’s my soulmate. It’s actually what we said in front of God at the altar: we honour and respect each other until death do us part,” the duchess continued. “The only thing is, he has girlfriends and I have boyfriends.”
In related news, a number of royal fans wanted the Duke and Duchess of York to rekindle their romance. However, according to royal expert Katie Nicholl, Prince Charles doesn’t approve their relationship.
“[Andrew] has been a liability to the Royal Family,” Nicholl said on Netflix’s documentary “The Royal House of Windsor.” “His relationship with [Sarah Ferguson] is one of the things, I’m told, that really riles Charles. It all contributes together into something that is just not very palatable.”
