Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the lost 1.33% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the were Hiyes International Co Ltd (TW:), which rose 9.92% or 5.10 points to trade at 56.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Everspring Industry Co Ltd (TW:) added 6.98% or 0.90 points to end at 13.80 and Jenn Feng New Energy Co Ltd (TW:) was up 5.86% or 0.34 points to 6.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lung Hwa Electronics Co Ltd (TW:), which fell 8.52% or 2.60 points to trade at 27.90 at the close. Chroma ATE Inc (TW:) declined 6.83% or 9.50 points to end at 129.50 and Hiwin Technologies Corp (TW:) was down 6.75% or 17.00 points to 235.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 635 to 186 and 93 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.35% or 0.27 to $76.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.39% or 0.34 to hit $85.95 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.30 to trade at $1201.60 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.26% to 30.824, while TWD/CNY rose 0.04% to 0.2224.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 95.66.
